Early Childhood Education

AMCAB provides several preschool programs in Alger and Marquette counties in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. The programs include: Head Start and Early Head Start, both funded through the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. We also provide the Great Start Readiness Program that is funded by the Michigan Department of Education. AMCAB has several classrooms located throughout both counties.

Marquette County:

  • Ishpeming: The Greenwood Head Start Center,  Pioneer Square and Aspen Ridge School
  • Marquette: Brookton Early Childhood Education Center and the Jacobetti Skills Center
  • Harvey: Cherry Creek Elementary School
  • Gwinn: Gwinn Area Early Childhood Education Center located on Sawyer

Alger County:

  • Munising Early Childhood Education Center
  • Traunik Early Childhood Education Center
